Terms of use

What DjarMalta.com is

DjarMalta.com is a platform where people advertise property for sale or to rent across the Maltese islands, and where anyone can browse those listings and contact the advertiser. We are not an estate agency, we take no commission, and we are not a party to any agreement made between an advertiser and an enquirer. By using the site you accept these terms.

Your account

  • Give accurate details when you register, and keep them up to date.
  • Keep your password to yourself. Anything done while signed in to your account is treated as done by you.
  • We may suspend or delete an account that breaks these terms, posts misleading listings, or abuses other users — along with its listings.

Listings

  • Only list a property you have the right to sell or let — as its owner, or with the owner’s authority. Answer the ownership question honestly: it is shown to everyone who views the listing.
  • Listings must be accurate and lawful: real photos of the property, a truthful price, and a map pin placed where the property actually is.
  • You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload. By publishing them you allow us to display and distribute them as part of running the site — including in search results and previews on other platforms.
  • We may edit, unpublish or remove any listing at our discretion, for example if it appears inaccurate, unlawful or reported by others.

Enquiries and acceptable use

  • Use enquiry and contact forms only to communicate genuinely about a property. No marketing, spam or scams.
  • Do not scrape the site, harvest contact details, or interfere with how it runs.
  • Enquiries you send are stored and passed to the advertiser, as described in the privacy policy.

What we are responsible for

Listings are written by their advertisers, and we do not verify them. Before buying or renting, view the property, verify the advertiser’s identity and authority to sell or let, and take professional advice — a notary for a purchase, at minimum. To the extent the law allows, the site is provided as-is and we are not liable for the accuracy of listings, the conduct of users, or any transaction that follows from an enquiry.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Malta, and the Maltese courts have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves; the date above moves when we do. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
